On 24 6 1863 when Charles James was 45, he second married Eliza Mary BOXER, daughter of William BOXER Commander, R.N. & Frances Emma DUCKHAM, in St Andrews Church, Holborn. Born on 1 7 1834 in Fern Hill, Parish of Kilmacrennon, Co. Donegal, Eliza Mary died in Brandondale, Craigue, Co. Kilkenny. on 25 7 1902 aged 68. At the 1901 census she was widowed and living alone at Treveddon, Ruan Minor, Helston, Truro, Cornwall
They had the following children:

85 v. Ethel. Born in 1871 in Leyton. Buried in St. Saviours Church, Jersey. Ethel married Colin GORDON M.D.
