HOUGHTON, Rosina Warrand 1854-1875

Born on 8 12 1854 at Kentish Town, Middlesex, she married John Whitehurst Cripps on 10 6 1874 in Leyton, Essex, but died in childbirth a year later on 13 4 1875.
She was very beautiful, and finished her education by spending a year each in Switzerland and Germany. Hurst Cripps was at Marlborough with Warrand and Charlie, and met her first while spending school holidays with them. Ray Philpot has a letter written to May Vickers by John Cripps on the death of her son Tommy.
Her wedding veil is now in the possession of the Crick family in Wickham, Hampshire, and was used for the wedding of their daughter Gine to Roger Craven on 22nd. August 1992.
They had one child:
140 i. Ella. She married James MORGAN, said to be related to the pirate captain.
